10 Important Dive Watches Launched in 2018
As we approach the end of 2018 and prepare for 2019 ? surely destined to be another interesting year in the world of watches ? we take a look back at some of the most noteworthy timepieces that came out this year, in various popular categories. Today, we look at some of 2018’s significant dive watch releases.
Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Diver Two-Tone
Two-tone watches remain a niche category and as controversial as ever, but the most recent take on Audemars Piguet’s Royal Oak Offshore Diver, which celebrated a quarter-century of existence in 2018, is as good a take on the mixed metal look as we?ve seen. While this watch is technically identical to previous iterations of the Royal Oak Offshore Diver ? distinctively sporting the hallmark “mega-tapisserie” dial motif and an inner rotating divers’ bezel ? its rose-gold case, gray titanium bezel, gray ceramic crowns, gray rubber strap, and gray dial, all give it an appealing look that screams masculinity. However, at 42 mm, it is designed to look great even on those that have never stepped a foot in the ocean ? not to mention those whom the previous models’ larger case sizes may have scared off.
