Breguet gives us a first look at the first new model of its 2018 collection. The inventor of the tourbillon is introducing its Classique Tourbillon Extra-Plat Automatique in a ?Grand Feu? enamel version.  That’s “Extra-Plat” as in “ultra thin” at a mere 7.45 mm thick (movement only 3mm), and perhaps surprisingly, this is the first time since a Grandes Complications collection piece has been done with a ?Grand Feu? enamel dial (btw — new to enamel"  check out our in-depth enamel primer here). This new Classique Grandes Complications 5367 is a simple and minimalist interpretation of the tourbillon, in distinct Breguet style.
Contrary to the reference 5377 which Breguet presented in 2013 (and we brought to you live from Baselworld 2013), this 2018 edition has no power reserve indicator and of course a completely different dial approach (enamel rather than more commonly used Breguet guilloché).  Breguet has again opted for a hand-bevelled tourbillon bar, topped by a spinel (which matches the likewise blue Breguet hands).  The chapter ring with Breguet Arabic numerals is off-centred at 11 o?clock and thus directly facing the tourbillon at 5 o?clock, a display layout is reminiscent of the watches created by A.-L. Breguet himself back in the day (late 1700s).
