A. Lange & Söhne Tourbograph Perpetual Honeygold ?Homage to F. A. Lange? is a tribute to the brand?s founder
To celebrate the 175th anniversary of the founding of A. Lange & Söhne, the German horological powerhouse has released a new collection of timepieces belonging to the 1815 family that pays homage to its founder Ferdinand Adolph Lange. The most important of them is the limited edition A. Lange & Söhne Tourbograph Perpetual Honeygold ?Homage to F. A. Lange? which was revealed at the Watches & Wonders exhibition in Shanghai along with the other homage watches. If you look closely, you?ll realize that the limited-edition is basically a new iteration of the spectacular Tourbograph Perpetual ‘Pour Le Mérite watch from 2017 that presents a combination of five complications in a very traditional A. Lange & Söhne package. The latest version that will be available only in very small numbers offers the timepiece in the brand’s unique 18k gold alloy, usually reserved for special editions, along with a proprietary material used for the dial.
Starting with the aesthetics of the limited-edition, the overall design has remained pretty much unchanged, including the extremely complex dial. The case measures 43mm in diameter and a height of 16.6mm; what?s new is the case material which is the brand?s proprietary Honeygold 18k yellow gold alloy that has only been used on a handful of releases since its creation in 2010.
