Accutron spun off from its parent brand Bulova in 2020 and quickly established itself as a player with the launch of the Spaceview 2020, a revival of the now-iconic, original Accutron from 1960, which brought the watch world its first tuning-fork movement. The Spaceview 2020 continued the tradition of technological innovation established by its ancestor, debuting inside it an innovative electrostatic caliber that was five years in development. This year, following up the gold-cased limited edition released last fall, Accutron continues to expand the Spaceview 2020 collection with new color variations, unveiling green- and orange-strap versions at the recent Couture trade show in Las Vegas.

The 43.5-mm case is in polished stainless steel, with a domed sapphire crystal covering an exposed dial-side movement that faithfully replicates the then-radical look of the original Spaceview, with highlights in bright, metallic circuit-board green. The two new models introduced this year pair that green-and-metallic face with either a color-coordinated matte green or contrasting bright orange strap made of genuine, ethically sourced American alligator leather and equipped with easy-release spring bars.
