Airy and Light: Zenith Gets Ready for Summer with Defy Skyline White Ceramic Skeleton
In 2022, Zenith unveiled its vision of a contemporary luxury sports watch with the Defy Skyline. Based on a historic model from 1969 in the original Defy, the form of the modern watch combines an unmistakable design with the functionality and sophistication of the legendary El Primero high-frequency caliber updated with a unique 1/10th-second sub-dial.
Today, the Defy Skyline family includes three-hand watches, each with a beautiful star symbol on the dial, as well as models with complications such as a chronograph or a high-frequency tourbillon. There is also a skeleton version with a stunning openwork dial, available in stainless steel and black ceramic.
Just in time for summer, Zenith has now introduced the Defy Skyline Skeleton in white ceramic combined with a luminescent blue dial. With alternating satin-brushed and polished surfaces, the highly scratch-resistant case and signature 12-sided bezel offer a striking interpretation of the Defy silhouette. The 41 mm case is water-resistant to 100 meters.
The white ceramic exterior of this new Defy Skyline Skeleton is complemented by an intense blue skeleton movement, which is fully on display through the open-worked dial. Constantly changing with the light and revealing different shades of blue, it takes on the shape of Zenith’s famous four-pointed star from 1969, a recurring motif in the history of the Defy line.
