Arnold & Son Launches the Globetrotter in Precious Platinum
Arnold & Son is gearing up for Watches & Wonders, which takes place in the last week of March, by launching its Globetrotter in platinum. It is for the very first time the brand uses this precious metal to house its charismatic world timer.
With the Globetrotter, Arnold & Son reinvented the world timer, a classic complication with a three-dimensional appeal via the centrally mounted globe showing the northern hemisphere. This unique feature is secured by a large bridge, further emphasizing its unique character. This also gives Arnold & Son another opportunity to highlight its significant technical prowess as the bridge is not only crafted from 18-carat white gold but is also satin finished on the sides, with all its flat parts polished and with long chamfered edges.
Overall, Arnold & Son really takes advantage of every opportunity it has to showcase its capabilities. The globe itself features hand-painted oceans made of blue lacquer and powdered mother-of-pearl. The same goes for the shorelines, which also includes Super-LumiNova, resulting in a spectacular sight at night.
