Atelier Wen and Wristcheck Team Up for a Limited Edition Version of the Perception with a Stunning Jade Green Dial
Chinese watch brand Atelier Wen has announced their first ever collaborative watch, a limited edition version of their Perception sports watch with the Hong Kong based retailer Wristcheck. Atelier Wen is a small brand that has been on the rise over the last few years, after making a strong debut with a series of porcelain dialed dress watches. The idea behind the brand has always been to put a spotlight on Chinese culture, history, and craft, which is a niche that until Atelier Wen came along was virtually uninhabited. While there are certainly an almost impossible to count number of watches made in China every year, it?s not a country known for a fine watchmaking tradition. Atelier Wen is seeking to change that with affordably priced watches that have a uniquely Chinese spin when it comes to their design and production.Â
The Perception is Atelier Wen?s entry into the competitive landscape of integrated bracelet sports watches. The line incorporates a case inspired by the architecture of traditional Chinese pagodas, and the dials feature multiple levels (again, inspired by Chinese architecture) and beautiful rose engine applied guilloche patterns. The limited edition Perception seen here made in collaboration with Wristcheck is the first in the collection to be made from titanium, which should make an already compact case (it measures 40mm in diameter and just 9.4mm tall) wear even lighter and easier.
