Baume & Mercier Highlights the Versatility of the Baumatic Movement with New Clifton Novelties
Today, Baume & Mercier introduces a new line of novelties to join its Clifton Baumatic collection. The update to the line includes three timepieces, including a time-and-date model, a day-date, and a perpetual calendar, each working to merge the expertise of the brand’s watchmaking and design work.
Creating cohesion between the pieces, like in previous Clifton models, is an emphasis on round, refined, and simple case designs as well as the use of Baumatic base calibers powering them. The movements are on display with three different functionalities and designs, embodying the versatility of the collection as a whole.Â
Clifton Baumatic Date
Leading the update to the collection is the Clifton Baumatic Date (M0A 10692), the timepiece is a formally-focused wearer with straightforward functionality that champions a refined design style. It features a 40mm polished and satin-finished steel case, with a black lacquered dial serving as the focal point of the watch, with basic time functions and a date window at 3 o?clock. The date window and numeric indices are all printed in white while the geometric hour-markers are riveted and rhodium-plated.
An exhibition caseback reveals the self-winding, chronometer-certified Baumatic BM13 1975A manufacture caliber, the mechanism offering a significant 120-hour power reserve. The new Baume & Mercier Clifton Baumatic Date retails for $3,250.Â
