The Challenge: Mechanical watches are not always accurate, especially when their power reserve runs low. A basic mechanical watch, for example, requires regular time setting, given its daily variation in rate of around 10 to 30 seconds per day. Additionally, the power reserve usually ranges from 40 to 70 hours.

The Clifton Baumatic?s new movement offers significantly enhanced accuracy: The new hairspring features Twinspir technology (a composite structure, combining two cores of silicon, alternately set at a 45° angle). Combined with a newly designed variable-inertia balance wheel, the automatic movement offers improved accuracy in various positions and greater resistance to impacts and magnetic fields.
