Bigger, Badder and Bolder: Squale Master “Marina Militare” Limited Edition
For those who have wondered how the brand’s traditional Von Büren 1521 case would look like on steroids, wonder no more: Squale has just launched its latest in the Master Marina Militare, a limited edition of 300 pieces which uses an enhanced stainless steel case with 1,200-meter water resistance and a diameter of 42mm. By bringing back the Master designation, however, the case thickness went from 12.5 to 17mm, which directly results in substantially more wrist presence.
As the name indicates, the Master Marina Militare (Ref. MASTERMM) is launched in cooperation with the Italian Navy and comes with an automatic helium release valve at 9 o’clock, bigger hands (and larger logos), and a sandwich dial.

Squale had already worked with the Italian Navy in the 1980s, and has recently launched a model for the Italian State Police Divers Unit. Just last year, Squale began partnering with Drass Galeazzi, a leading supplier of diving systems worldwide. As a result, Drass carried out the pressure tests for this limited edition.
