Blancpain Celebrates New Ladybird Colors Timepieces in New York?s Historic Flower District
On Thursday evening, May 11, Blancpain presented its latest timepieces designed especially for women in a beautiful rooftop venue filled with colorful floral creations, a perfect complement to the deeply colored variations offered by the two new additions to the Ladybird Colors collection.
The venue was located in New York City?s historic Flower Market District, a block-long stretch on Manhattan?s West Side where floral designers and flower shop owners come to find the best blooms. Lush greenery spills onto the pavement and offers a glimpse of what decorative treasures can be found inside the shops. Flowers filled the room where the new watches were shown and spectacular views of the city on a beautiful summer-like evening delighted the guests as well. The two new Ladybird Colors models feature two new complications, Small Seconds or Moon Phase, set in a combination of red or white gold with brightly colored numerals and coordinating straps. Each textured mother-of-pearl dial is each set with 70 diamonds with colorful midnight blue, peacock green, forest green, lilac or turquoise Roman numerals, with the colors picked up on supple alligator leather straps.
The dials feature an asymmetrical touch, where the offset Roman numerals are underscored by an inner ring adorned with delicately tapering gem setting, which continues on the small seconds or moon-phase indicators ? another means of asserting the individual nature of these new watches.
