Despite a recent focus on high horology found in watches like the Manero Tourbillon Double Peripheral, one of the mainstays within the Carl F. Bucherer catalog since its 2013 debut is the ScubaTec series of dive watches. Part of the wider sport-watch focused Patravi family, the ScubaTec series is defined by its high degree of water resistance and the recognizable honeycomb-like pattern on the dial meant to resemble the scales of a fish.

At Baselworld 2019, Carl F. Bucherer revealed a new version of the ScubaTec that featured a silhouette of the line’s longtime mascot, the manta ray, on the dial.
