Breitling has introduced a new limited edition version of its Superocean divers? watch to celebrate its latest partnership with Ironman. The new Superocean Ironman Limited Edition was launched at the Breitling boutique in New York City a few days back, cohosted by watchmaker?s USA President Thierry Prissert and Andrew Messick, President and CEO of The Ironman Group. Attending the event was eight-time Ironman World Championship winner Paula Newby-Fraser, who is now retired from her triathlon days. Coming back to special edition watch, it comes with a 44-mm stainless-steel watch with a black dial featuring the unmistakable Ironman logo. The ratcheted unidirectional rotating bezel is an essential feature for divers as it can be used to track the elapsed time underwater.
The numerals, indexes, and hands of the limited edition watch are all coated with Super-LumiNova, a special luminescent material that allows optimal readability in dark conditions. The watch is powered by Breitling?s self-winding Caliber 17, which has 38 hours of power reserve. The watch is water-resistant to an incredible 100 bar (1000 meters). The caseback is also engraved with the Ironman logo and the watch is paired to a red Diver Pro III rubber strap with a pin buckle.
