Bremont Announces 5-Year Partnership with England Rugby, Unveils New Bremont Rose
At the end of last month, UK-based Bremont announced its latest partnership with England Rugby, and with it revealed the newest watch in its collection, the Bremont Rose. The partnership is a five-year agreement for Bremont to serve as England Rugby?s official timekeeper, and to celebrate the launch of this significant move, the brand has unveiled a special celebratory model in the new Bremont Rose watch, a special edition of Bremont’s ALT1-C chronograph.
The new partnership will include much of the standard fare associated with watch companies becoming official timekeepers for sports teams. Bremont will now brand all match clocks around England Rubgy?s stadium, as well as work with individual players to dually promote both the team and the brand?s watches. Their first brand ambassador will be player Tom Curry, a 21-year-old flanker from Houslow renowned in the sport for his toughness, and whom Bremont sees as living up to its motto, ?Tested Beyond Endurance.?
The new Bremont Rose uses the familiar ALT1-C chronograph design, but also adds clear efforts by the brand to further “Anglify” the aesthetic. Its 43-mm steel case uses rounded lugs, secured to either a blue leather strap or a steel bracelet; rounded pushers for its integrated chronograph; an enlarged crown; and a flat bezel encircling the dial.
The dial’s banked outer edge hosts a printed railroad-style minute ring with a subtle red triangle with two dots ? a nod to Bremont’s heritage ...
