We?ve had no shortage of retro-future throwback style watches this year, from A100 ‘Ripley’ Casios to Hamilton?s PRS, and now Brew is jumping in on the action with a new 8-Bit Brew based on the Retrograph chronograph. Showcasing a set of pixelated hands, pixel art graphics, and bright colors, this dial feels like stepping inside of a CRT screen hooked up to an NES in the late ?80s. Yes, the coffee theme is still present, and this watch is still unmistakably a Brew. 

The 8-Bit Brew is built in a radially brushed, 2 part steel cushion case that measures 38mm across and 41.5mm tall. It?s just 10.4mm in thickness thanks to the Seiko VK64 Meca-Quartz inside. It?s the same situation we know and love in the Retrograph, but the real star of the show here is the unique dial execution.
The base of the dial is black, with bright blue, orange, and yellow accents bringing the place to life. It?s a mix of Donkey Kong and Pac-Man to my eye and it?s pure nostalgia. It?s not just the colors at work here, though – the hands get in on the action as well, with the minute totalizer at 9 o?clock and the 24 hour hand at 3 o?clock taking on pixelated designs in their form. A pixel-art coffee (espresso") appears just above the date at 6 o?clock. 

The theme continues on the caseback with 8-bit style etchings that identify the watch (including the ?extraction timer? feature), and Press Start / Press Reset pointers labeling each pusher.
