Bulgari and Phillips Team Up for Ultra-Thin Limited Octo Finissimo With a Sector Dial
On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Octo watch, Bulgari joined forces with the renowned auction house Phillips in Association with Bacs & Russo to create a special edition of 50 pieces. Wedding Italian savoir-faire with Swiss precision, the Octo Finissimo has impressed with its complex case architecture, which combines seemingly contrasting shapes to an expressive and harmonious appearance, and technical complexity. This super slim watch collection has even set seven world records and was once the thinnest timepiece ever made.
The special edition which comes in a 40mm sandblasted titanium case is likewise powered by a notably thin movement. Despite its modest thickness of a mere 2.2mm, the self-winding manufacture Calibre BVL 138 which is equipped with a micro rotor amasses a power reserve of 60 hours. It goes without saying that it is finished in accordance with highest standards and is displayed through an exhibition case back. This tiny powerhouse drives the hour, minute, and central seconds hands on a sector dial, a first for the collection.
