Chopard Introduces the Alpine Eagle Flying Tourbillon at Watches & Wonders 2022
With the Alpine Eagle Flying Tourbillon, the Swiss manufacture Chopard, which celebrated its 25th anniversary last year, opens a new chapter in its luxury sports watch line first presented in 2019. The collection, inspired by the beauty of the Swiss Alps and its majestic inhabitant, the mountain eagle, also introduced a new stainless-steel alloy that was developed in-house, with its Lucent Steel A223 offering an increased hardness and expressive shine.Â
However, not only the flying tourbillon complication? which lives up to its name by forgoing with an upper bridge and thus creating the illusion that there is no attachment? makes the Alpine Eagle Flying Tourbillon special. Additionally, it also bears a COSC-chronometer certificate for tried-and-tested precision, as well as can pride itself with the renowned Geneva Seal which stands for the highest finishing and decoration quality.
The magnificently finished automatic manufacture caliber L.U.C 96.24-L, which provides a power reserve of 65 hours thanks to Chopard?s twin technology with two barrels arranged one above the other, ticks inside the 42mm Lucent Steel A223 case that is only eight mm thick. In addition, the movement features a stop-second mechanism for setting the time to the second and a micro rotor made of 22-carat gold for a powerful winding capability. The price is approximately $120,000 when converted to USD.
