Christopher Ward bolsters Trident collection with two limited editions
The British-designed, Swiss-made brand has updated its iconic diver?s watch with two sleek designs.

It has been just over two years since Christopher Ward took the leap into a full-blown rebrand and it seems the British bunch has hardly had time for a cup of tea since. With a flurry of new releases, the brand is finally settling into a recognisable aesthetic groove. Its new, limited edition Trident models, the C60 Trident Pro COSC Limited Edition and the C60 Trident Day Date COSC Limited Edition, are hot on the heels of the C60 Trident 316L ? a bright orange limited edition launched earlier this year.
Anyone who wants a diver?s watch to actually dive will be pleased to discover that Christopher Ward?s latest designs are true to function dive watches, instead of the far dressier Trident C65 Vintage and Trident C65 Classic Mk II, which weren?t really diver?s watches at all.
Both the C60 Trident Pro and the C60 Trident Day Date are firmly in the monochrome arena, with splashes of red that work well against the white guilloche wave-effect dial. Both timepieces offer lume-filled hands and indexes, the signature Trident counterbalance on the second hand, and a full-detail minute marker ring for extra precision (the latter appears on these editions only).
In terms of movements, the C60 Trident Pro has an integrated chronometer-certified Swiss-made Sellita SW200 COSC movement, while the C60 Trident Day Date COSC Limited Edition has a chronom...
