Glashütte Original has introduced two new models in its SeaQ dive watch series, inspired by the German brand’s first divers’ watch, the Spezimatic Type RP TS 200, which was made in the 1960s and ’70s for hobbyist divers. Both new timepieces are in stainless steel and feature maritime blue dials suited for sports divers and watersports athletes.

SeaQ Ref. 1-39-11-09-82 features 47 brilliant-cut diamonds and a blue-colored sapphire gem on the bezel.

Both SeaQ models are encased in polished, satin-brushed, stainless steel and measure 39.5 mm in diameter with a height of 12.5 mm. Their dials are in galvanic blue with a sunray finish and use applied Arabic numerals and indexes with Super-LumiNova inlays for optimal contrast in dark conditions. Arrow-shaped hands with luminous inlays indicate the hours and minutes, while at 3 o’clock a square-shaped window, outlined in a white-colored border, displays the date.
Ref. 1-39-11-09-81 (pictured above) is fitted with a rotating divers’ bezel with a deep blue, scratch-resistant ceramic bezel, whose 60-minute scale can measure elapsed time underwater, which the wearer sets counter-clockwise to prevent accidental rotation while diving. The watch is equipped with a minute-click function and has Super-LumiNova coating on the white, triangle-shaped marker, located on the bezel at the 60-minute indicator, to set the start time of a dive.
