eBay Finds: Longines Conquest, Arnex Dive Chronograph, and More
When it comes to shopping for vintage watches on eBay, it can be a gold mine, but it can also be a minefield. Our very own Christoph McNeill (you all might know him as Instagram?s @VintageDiver) wrote a must-read, common sense guide to buying vintage watches on eBay (check out Part 1 and Part 2). Today, we have another installment of eBay Finds, where Christoph will highlight some great vintage gems looking for a new home. Happy hunting!
Listing: “Vintage ARNEX Valjoux 7733 Stainless Steel Diver’s Chronograph”
This Arnex?while not a well-known brand name?is great example of a typical vintage chronograph diver. The black, two-register dial looks to be pretty clean and the luminous paint on the hands and dial have perfect patina. The skin diver case has some obvious wear, but it’s unpolished and retains its crisp edges. The watch is powered by the tried-and-true workhorse Valjoux 7733 manual-wind movement. The “buy it now” price seems to be more than fair for this particular specimen. Click here to check it out.
