When it comes to shopping for vintage watches on eBay, it can be a gold mine, but it can also be a minefield. Not too long ago, our very own Christoph McNeill (you all might know him as Instagram?s @VintageDiver) wrote a handy, common sense guide to buying vintage watches on eBay (check out Part 1 and Part 2). Today, we have another installment of eBay Finds, where Christoph will highlight some great vintage gems looking for a new home. Happy hunting!

Vintage Rado Golden Horse Automatic

The Rado Golden Horse is a great example of a watch from Rado?s golden era, if you?ll forgive the pun. It has a classically styled steel case with a wide bezel and beefy lugs. It appears to me to be largely all original, but for the acrylic crystal that looks to be aftermarket, which is extremely common for a watch of this age. The original crown is signed with Rado’s anchor logo. The dial is what really makes this one stand out. It features a two-tone design and has bold steel markers that are reminiscent of vintage Omega Seamasters. The dial has a touch of patina.
The case back logo is one of the best ever. It?s a deeply engraved version of the Rado double seahorse. It takes up the entire case back, and it?s really quite stunning. Overall, I think  this is a great watch at the “buy it now” price.Click here to check it out.
