E.C. Andersson Denise Calypso-Blue: A Fresh Addition to the Popular Tool-Watch Collection
Two months ago E.C.Andersson Watch Co. released the Denise, the company?s first professional diver and heavy-duty tool-watch. Although there is still some time before delivery, the watch has almost sold out, which makes the Denise Calypso-Blue a welcome addition to the series.
Named after the submarine that was carried aboard Jacques Cousteau’s oceanographic research vessel, Calypso, the Denise Calypso-Blue shares attributes to both historical objects and previous E.C.Andersson models with its lively gradient-blue dial, bohuslän hands, and utilitarian aesthetic.
Designed with the intention of being worn year-round, the Denise is as functional while diving in the ocean during the summer as it is during a winter hike through the Alps. Rated to 200-meter water resistance, the ceramic bezel can also be utilized as a reliable compass.
A centrally positioned power reserve indicator lets you know exactly how much energy is stored within the watch if you ever need to sit it down, knowing how long the movement will keep running. When fully wound, the movement runs for 50+ hours and is calibrated by hand in E.C. Andersson?s Performance Center to assure outstanding accuracy. Since the watch features a rubber bracelet, it will most commonly lay on its side when not in use, E.C.Andersson thus optimized the calibration to a crown-up resting position.
The E.C.A Denise Calypso-Blue is limited to only 95 pieces and can be ordered for a limited discount on their website today.
