Eye of the Tiger: H. Moser & Cie Endeavour Tourbillon Concept Tiger’s Eye
Always a brand known for making a statement, H. Moser & Cie unveiled one of its more interesting timepieces in recent memory, the Endeavour Tourbillon Concept Tiger’s Eye, at the recent Watches & Wonders virtual exhibition. A novel take on the now-familiar Endeavour design, it dresses up that model’s understated look with two bright new mineral dial options and also adds a tourbillon.
The dial materials are what lend the watch its name, constructed from Tiger?s Eye, a microcrystalline quartz and semi-precious gemstone. According to the brand, the stone’s uncommon, striated appearance represents ?a natural reinterpretation of Moser fumé dials,? and in effect places the brand?s stylistic signature in a new, natural light.
Measuring 40 mm in diameter and 11.2-mm thick, the watch’s case is in either 18k rose gold or white gold, each of its facets brightly polished. The lugs of the watch are slightly rounded, curving towards the wrist, as they are on previous Endeavour watches. On its right side, the signature signed crown of the collection sits, its knurling tapered to create a slight space between the crown and the case proper. The rose-gold model finds itself secured to the wrist via a brown alligator strap, while the white-gold edition uses a blue one, both fastened by a signed folding clasp in a matching gold.
