Grand Seiko celebrates the vibrant red hues of autumn with its latest creation, the Hi-Beat 36000 GMT SBGJ273. Featuring a vivid red and textured dial, the watch draws inspiration from the phenomenon known as “Yuka Momiji,” which reflects the interplay of autumn maple leaves on the lacquered wooden floors of a traditional Japanese house.

The SBGJ273 adopts the classic case design from the Elegance collection, inspired by the very first Grand Seiko timepiece from 1960. The round case measures 39.5mm in diameter and incorporates a box-shaped sapphire crystal, reminiscent of mid-century styling. The red and textured dial makes a bold statement, with stainless steel hour markers and hour, minute, and second hands complementing the overall stainless steel aesthetic. A gold-toned GMT hand adds to the seasonal color scheme.
Powering the SBGJ273 is the Hi-Beat 36000 GMT Caliber 9S86 with automatic winding, operating at a frequency of 36,000 vibrations per hour (10 beats per second). The watch maintains precision timekeeping, with an average daily rate of +5 to -3 seconds per day. It reliably runs with a power reserve of 55 hours.

Pricing for the new Grand Seiko SBGJ273 is marked at $7,100.
