Farer Debuts the Oxley Silver Limited Edition, Featuring Perfectly Paired Tones of Blue
Farer?s latest release is a limited and very blue take on the Oxley GMT. For Farer, the GMT complication gets at the heart of what the brand is all about. The name of the brand itself is a reference to travel, and Farer has put much thought and energy into crafting several well received travel watches, not to mention the World Timer that launched last year at the NYC Wind-Up. The new watch, dubbed the Oxley Silver Limited Edition, feels immediately at home in the larger Farer collection. Let?s get into it.

While the name of the watch references the silver sunray dial, this watch is really all about tones of blue. Inspired by the Pop Art movement, Farer has used several different shades of blue on the hands, numerals, and dial accents to give the watch a clean, modern aesthetic. Deep blue hour markers and numerals in the now familiar Farer typeface are offset by a 24 hour scale in an even deeper blue, with pale blue numerals. Lume on the syringe hour and minute hands is any icey blue as well, complementing the powder blue seconds hand. Yes, it?s a lot of blue, and it easily could have been a mess had the tones chosen not been just right...
