In 2016, Sinn put out the 910 Anniversary Split-Seconds Chronograph, a limited edition of just 300 pieces boasting a modified, top-grade Valjoux 7750 and a complication not common to the brand. It was a commercial success for Sinn, and for 2018, the German favorite has decided to extend the 910 series with the 910 SRS, a general release model equipped with a flyback function (SRS, by the way, stands for ?Stopp-Retour-Start?).
The movement inside the 910 SRS starts out as a Valjoux 7750. It is then heavily modified by Sinn in partnership with renowned movement house La Joux-Perret, replacing the cam mechanism with a more traditional column-wheel and building in the flyback function. What is a flyback chronograph" It essentially allows you to reset the chronograph without first having to stop the watch. In a traditional chronograph, you have to stop and reset the chronograph before you can start it up again. In a flyback chronograph, all you have to do is press the reset pusher and it does all the work. This new caliber will be a mainstay in Sinn?s arsenal, so we can expect to see it rolled out in future releases.
