Flying High: Chopard Enriches the Alpine Eagle Collection with New Executions
Chopard’s Alpine Eagle sports watch collection, which is dedicated to the Swiss Alps and one of their most fascinating animal species, the eagle, welcomes a new dial color available for the 41-mm lineup. Like Aletsch Blue, Bernina Grey, and Absolute Black colorways which have preceded the latest addition, the new “Pine Green” is inspired by natural colors shaping the beauty of the Alpine biotope.
The expressive shade is highlighted by the signature texture distinguished by a radiating pattern, which evokes the eye of an eagle, and makes for a magnificent backdrop for the rhodium-plated or gold-plated hour-markers and hands enhanced with luminous coating. Positioned between 4 and 5 o?clock, the date is indicated on a color-coordinated disc.
This execution of the Alpine Eagle is available in Chopard’s genuine Lucent Steel A223 or in 18-carat rose gold. In keeping with the ethical commitment of the manufacture, the brand claims its gold is ethically sourced and its Lucent Steel A223 is made from 70% recycled material. In addition to its anti-allergenic composition, the special steel further offers properties comparable to surgical steel, making it highly dermo-compatible. With its resistance of 223 Vickers, this alloy is also 50% more resistant to abrasion than conventional steel and has a unique hardness. The case features a svelte height of 9.7mm and remains water-resistant to a depth of 100 meters.
