Frederique Constant Squares Up with the Classic Carrée Automatic
If it were up to me, every watch brand would have a square-shaped dress watch in its lineup. There’s something about the shape that has always settled nicely on my wrist. I’m not knocking the traditional round-shaped wristwatch, but in my opinion, it’s hip to be square.
Last week, Frederique Constant added two new additions to its classic square-shaped wristwatch collection with the Classic Carrée Automatic. The 30.4 mm-by-33.3 mm timepiece is available in a rose-gold-plated, polished stainless steel case with a dark brown strap or a polished stainless steel case with a black leather strap. The silver-colored dial features an opening at 12 o’clock, partially exposing the FC-310 caliber that has a 38-hour power reserve. The see-through caseback offers another view of the caliber that is finished with a colimac?on decoration.
The polished stainless steel version is priced at $1,495 and the rose gold-plated version at $1,195.
