G-SHOCK Combines Durability with Connectivity in the MTG-B1000
Just in time for the peak of summer, G-SHOCK has returned with a new product launch focused on bridging the gap between connectivity and high-performance durability. The MTG-B1000 fits seamlessly into the brand?s catalog of analog timepieces with connected capability. The real news here, however, is that this watch is the first MT-G with Smartphone Link software to include the new hyper-shock-resistant structure that the Japanese brand has been quietly developing.
G-SHOCK has long been recognized as an industry leader in the pursuit of heavy duty watches that can handle anything thrown at them. This has been enhanced in the MTG-B1000 thanks to a new core guard structure, a carbon fiber reinforced resin case, a shock/vibration-resistant structure for band mounts, and the inclusion of the brand?s proprietary ?Triple G Resist? technology. This consists of a three-layered approach focused on shock resistance, vibration resistance, and centrifugal force resistance. The carbon fiber in the case makes the watch both lightweight and more rigid, while the case shape utilizes a multi-part construction. The inner case houses a box-shaped frame that interconnects with the bezel, back cover, and band mount components allowing for an overall improved structure. In the mounts where the metal and resin come together, metal parts and large bolts are used to connect the band and the fine resin pieces within the case.
