There is a thing as too much camo. Nothing pushes a watch into awkward, knock-off army territory like lashings of camouflage used poorly. Fortunately, Italian watch brand Giuliano Mazzuoli has steered clear of clichés in favour of something that blends camo prints with a degree of style and class ? certainly no mean feat.
The ?hybrid? Giuliano Mazzuoli Manometro Camouflage features a 45mm stainless steel case coated with a combination of coloured powers and composite materials. The result is a textured, matte camouflage exterior, available in four different shades.
Almost immediately it is the black and blue iterations that create the most impact, especially when paired with matching shades across the minimalistic dial and canvas-effect calf leather strap.
The matte finish of the case coating and dial is off-set neatly with a polished bezel, screw-in crown at 2 o?clock and raised indexes. Housed within the 13.5mm-high case is a Swiss-made, self-winding ETA 2824/2 automatic movement with a 40 hour power reserve. The overall heft is added to with a convex sapphire crystal.
