H. Moser & Cie. Releases Special Edition Pioneer Centre Seconds Rotating Bezel C.02 For Collective Horology
H. Moser & Cie. has developed a reputation for its distinct style of watchmaking and appealingly modern designs. This past week, the Schaffhausen-based brand once again showcased its singular style with the release of the Special Edition Pioneer Centre Seconds Rotating Bezel C.02 For Collective Horology, a new steel sports watch produced in partnership with the Silicon Valley-founded watch collectors’ group, Collective Horology. The new model is an interesting riff on the base Pioneer Centre Seconds design released earlier this year, the latest addition to Moser?s growing sports-focused Pioneer collection.
The watch’s 42.8-mm x 10.6-mm steel case features slightly rounded edges and alternating brushed and polished finishing throughout. The case itself looks rather simple from the front view, but from the sides reveals its elevated beveling, which on the right side also includes a fluted screw-down crown. Surrounding the dial is the watch’s namesake feature, the black, bidirectional 12-hour “traveler’s” bezel, with is designed to assist wearers in determining a second time zone.
Underneath the domed sapphire crystal is the green fumé dial that the brand is possibly best known for, its colors transitioning from a dark black to somewhat lighter green as your eyes move from the edge to the center of the face.
