H. Moser & Cie. unveils Pioneer Perpetual Calendar in Steel
In a nod towards everyday wear, H. Moser & Cie. has unveiled a version of its Pioneer Perpetual Calendar with an ?all-terrain? steel case.

As complications go, the perpetual calendar is one that?s held on to its highbrow reputation, and for good reason. But a new wave of more ?affordable? perpetual calendars has aimed to put this watch-making credibility on more wrists. Take for example the Frédérique Constant Manufacture Perpetual Calendar in steel, launched in 2016, which rolls in at £7,120. Others have worried less about price and more about shaking things up. Even Patek Philippe, the bastion of long-term, heirloom-worthy style, turned heads earlier this year with its vintage-inspired 5320 perpetual calendar. Somewhere in between those two, Swiss watch brand H. Moser & Cie. has also given its Pioneer Perpetual Calendar an update; creating a solid steel case to sit alongside its existing red gold titanium version. The new, ?all-terrain? model is centred on wearability, durability and all the other buzzwords sought by the practical watch-owner. For H. Moser & Cie., this is a watch to be worn and not simply admired, bolstered by the fact that it is water resistant to 120 metres.
