Hermès “Impatient Hour” (Slim d?Hermès l?Heure Impatient)
From any other brand this new piece might be described as odd or weird, but from Hermès — unusual and quirky seems more apropos. How else to describe a watch that ostensibly wants you to loathe the wait" The Slim d?Hermès l?Heure Impatiente is distinguished by its countdown function — up to 12 hours from the current moment, with an special 60-minute countdown indicator — as well as a chiming mechanism that strikes when time is up. The watch was created in tandem with Agenhor, the Geneva-based firm led by Jean-Marc Wiederrecht. Agenhor has done several other complications for Hermès (including Temps Suspendu, quaniteme perpetuel et double fuseau, & others) and also is behind similarly clever creations for the likes of Van Cleef & Arpels (poetic wish watches), Faberge, Romain Jerome (spacecraft watch) and others. The chime can also be activated manually at any time by using the pusher at nine o?clock. Trademark Hermes fonts also embellish the dial and counters.
