Introducing New Colors for the Hamilton Khaki Field Mechanical and Intra-Matic Auto Chrono
We?re in the thick of trade show season, with SIHH having just passed and Baselworld fast approaching. That means that brands are gearing up to unveil their first batch of 2019 novelties, and today we received a small preview of what Hamilton has in store (spoiler alert: it’s good stuff).
 Three New Khaki Field Mechanicals
Hamilton?s Khaki Field Mechanical collection, inspired by the brand?s issued watches from the 1960s through the ?80s, is extremely popular with both well-informed collectors and lay consumers alike, so it makes perfect sense that Hamilton would continue to grow the line. The expanded collection now includes three dial colors, two cases, a new movement, and a selection of straps.Â
In addition to nylon, there are now vintage leather mil-straps.
Measuring 38 millimeters across, the stainless case is rendered in blasted steel and what Hamilton is calling ?earth PVD,? which is a sort of rustic treatment that hints at patina. The dials are available in black, any earthy color Hamilton are calling green, and white?all three with ecru-colored Super-LumiNova that, in my opinion, doesn?t feel out of place. For my money, the white dial is ace.
