Introducing New Titanium Pilot-Diver Mission Watches From Redux & Co
If the idea of Pilot-Diver Mission watches seems a little vague or confusing to you ? don?t worry, you?re not alone. Redux & Co have recently launched a series of four watches on Kickstarter which between them span the categories of pilot, dive and field watches.
This isn?t the first Kickstarter campaign from Redux & Co. Their debut was five years ago when they smashed their goal creating a titanium pilot/dive watch mashup named COURG. The current campaign sees four more titanium watches presented ? each with different historical inspirations but all sharing the same functional design ethos, automatic movements, case materials and finishing.
First up is the square-cased HONNR, which is inspired by WWII cockpit instruments. This path is well trodden by Bell & Ross among others, but the HONNR does well to resemble the flight instruments on which it is based more than it does another watch. The HONNR couples the legibility of the dial with the additional function of a unidirectional 120 click bezel and 200m of water resistance. At 37mm in diameter, this could be a great option for those who like the instrument gauge design without the usual largeness that goes with it.
If that?s not enough function for you the SCOUT follows the HONNR very closely in style, but here the case is shrunk down to 28mm in diameter and can combine with either a compass or digital module. Both of these modules are the same 28mm diameter as the main watch and either one can be at...
