Ball is set to launch a new day/date GMT watch with their signature tritium tubes and a novel movement that they are calling the world?s first day-date GMT automatic timepiece. The Roadmaster Marine GMT is chronometer-certified, built to professional specifications, and uses multiple push buttons on the left-hand side of the case to independently set the GMT hand. It?s an interesting take on the ETA-based GMT watches we?ve seen numerous examples of in the last few years as this complication?s popularity has skyrocketed.

The Roadmaster Marine uses a modified ETA 2893 movement, a ?caller GMT? with an independently-set GMT hand (as opposed to a ?traveler GMT? that utilizes an independently set hour hand for adjusting local time while on the go). Rather than using the crown, however, to set the GMT hand Ball has created a module that uses push buttons to move the hand in one hour increments, forwards and backwards. The movement allows the user to keep not only the date, but the day, aligned with the GMT hand.
