Introducing The Bremont Supermarine S302
Bremont revealed their new digs this morning, showing off a facility called ?the wing? which will serve as a hub for the brand?s operations and be a living embodiment of the Bremont ?lifestyle?. Along with a first look at the new facilities, Bremont also showed off a slew of beautiful E-Types, and of course, a few new watches for 2021. Among the new watches we find something new in the Supermarine collection, the S302, which immediately caught our eye for bringing a GMT function to the excellent S301 we first saw back in 2017.
The S302 uses the same 40mm case dimensions we saw in the S301, and at 13mm in thickness the watch should be pretty cozy on the wrist assuming those long, shapely lugs are kept in check. The case itself gets Bremont?s tricked out Trip-Tick construction using three pieces including a scratch resistant DLC treated barrel. Viewing from an angle gives a great view of the unique construction that remains a personal favorite feature of Bremont watches.Â
As stated, the S302 brings a 24 hour hand to the mix, which gets a large arrow at its tip and a bright orange outline for high visibility. The complication comes courtesy of the BE-93-2AV automatic movement inside. This is a modified ETA 2892-A2 with an Anachron balance spring and Glucydur balance. Being a Bremont, it?s also a chronometer and will keep you within -4/+6 seconds within its 38 hour power reserve.
