Seiko?s partnership with Giugiaro is well documented (if you haven?t done so yet, check out our overview), and some of the watches born of that collaboration are iconic Seiko timepieces today. In 2016, the two firms came together to create the ?Rider?s Chronograph,? a quartz watch featuring a turned dial designed with motorcyclists in mind. Seiko and Giugiaro are back with their latest take on the concept, which reimagines a watch Seiko and Giugiaro put out in 1983?introducing the JDM Seiko X Giugiaro Design motorcycle watch with a digital, multi-function display. 
The case and bracelet are rendered in stainless steel, and the bezel is aluminum. The head measures 39.4 millimeters across, 44.2 millimeters long, and 12.1 millimeters thick, so it should wear great on a number of different wrist sizes (I find that integrated designs, even smaller ones, tend to have greater wrist presence). Refs. SBJG001 and SBJG003, both limited 3,000 units.
Functionality here is relatively straightforward. One has to rotate the bezel to toggle between the different modes, which include the time, an alarm, a stopwatch, and a timer. The pushers at three and five engage the functions, and the pusher at nine turns on the backlight. The nubs on the bezel, which features the modes and a tachymeter scale, are there for grip to assist in turning the bezel.
