For the third year in a row, Oris is doing its part to help promote men?s health initiatives with the release of a limited edition Movember watch. The Movember Foundation, for those unaware, was founded in 2003 with the mission of helping men live healthier, longer lives through the advocacy of men?s health issues, such as testicular and prostate cancer, mental health, and suicide prevention. The foundation partners with celebrities and organizations across a range of industries, from sports to fashion and entertainment, and helps to raise money for men?s health causes throughout the year. Each November, the foundation encourages supporters to grow a mustache over the course of the month to raise money for the many health related projects it backs all over the world. It?s a good cause, and if the increased prevalence of mustached faces during the month of November is any indication, the foundation seems to be doing a good job of getting the word out about men?s health and starting a dialog.
