Introducing the TAG Heuer Carrera Green Limited Edition
Last month, Swiss watchmaker TAG Hauer surprised many in following the growing trend of green watches for the year, unveiling the now sold-out Monaco Green Dial LE. Today, the brand returns with its next limited-edition green dial design, applying the colorway to another famed collection, and introducing the new Carrera Green Limited Edition.Â
The new watch comes as the latest addition to the extensive neo-vintage vein of Carrera releases seen from the brand in recent years ? for example the Carrera ?Dato? LE unveiled at the start of this year ? and, as its name indicates, is a limited edition green dial version of the classic Carrera design. The look builds upon the growing movement towards green dials displayed across the industry, following up on other notable green chronographs not only including the Monaco LE, but also a verdant Hamilton Intramatic and Breitling Superocean Heritage among many others. At its core, the watch is a classically sized, familiar design, reworked into a novel, summer-ready style.
As is likely apparent, it?s the green-blue dial which is the new model?s primary draw. TAG Heuer, in sensing that green is experimental enough, seems to have kept the novelty relatively simple outside of its color, eschewing any additional date windows or superfluous dial accents, and letting the unique, deep green-blue look of the piece shine within the traditional style.
