Timex needs little introduction. Chances are you?ve owned at least one watch from this storied, American-born brand in your days as a watch enthusiast, and it’s even likely you have one ticking away in your watch box at this moment. Timex watches are inexpensive and always fun, and it?s often easy to find an appealing one–perhaps while browsing Amazon–that you end up buying just for the hell of it (that?s how I?ve found several, at least).

In the last year Timex has worked with menswear designer Todd Snyder to create some particularly stylish designs. No stranger to watches and having a collection of his own of ?50 to 60 watches . . . some work, some don?t,? Mr. Snyder sees watches as “the one accessory that we can express ourselves with.? Based on Timex?s own archives, he takes the original concept and puts his own spin on it making it more modern, but keeping the vintage sensibility intact. Past models, such as the simply titled Military Watch, took a mil-spec design and added some unexpected color, while the Mod Watch was a more subtly updated classic Timex design.
