IWC Expands Portofino Collection With New Complete Calendar and Automatic Pointer Date
IWC, long known for its prowess in the field of complex calendar watches, is introducing two new models to its growing Portofino collection. The Portofino Complete Calendar and Portofino Automatic Pointer Date each introduce a new complication to the series, the complete calendar and the pointer date.
The new complete calendar complication consists of 69 individual parts and is mounted atop of the self-winding 32150 caliber with a power reserve of 72 hours. It indicates the date, day of the week, month, and moon phase in two subdials, and it only needs to be manually adjusted at the end of any month with fewer than 31 days. In addition, each display is driven by a separate gear train and can be adjusted independently via the crown or by using two correction buttons integrated into the side of the 41mm case.
The Portofino Complete Calendar comes in two executions, the first (ref. IW359002) features an 18-carat 5N gold case, a silver-plated dial, gold-plated hands, solid gold appliques, and a taupe calfskin strap. It has a retail price of $20,400. The second (ref. IW359001) is presented in a stainless steel case with a silver-plated dial, gold-plated hands and appliques, and a blue calfskin strap. Both references are fitted with straps made of traceable Swiss calf leather, boasting a natural and soft finish and a contemporary, luxurious look.
The IWC Portofino Complete Calendar will be available beginning in April 2023. Pricing for the gold ref. IW359002 ...
