IWC has launched its latest Pilot?s Watch Mark XVIII – a limited edition in support of the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation

IWC has announced a new version of the Pilot?s Watch Mark XVIII Edition ?Laureus Sport for Good Foundation?, in aid of the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation which aims to end violence, discrimination and disadvantage through sport programmes.
IWC has been working with the Foundation since 2005, and this is its 12th limited edition watch for the charity.
We?ve seen Laureus editions of the Da Vinci, Ingenieur, Portugieser and Portofino, but now the Schaffhausen brand has picked a pilot?s watch with purist appeal for the first time: the Pilot?s Watch Mark XVIII.

The design of the dial is, of course, highly recognisable – the Pilot?s Watch Mark XVIII is based on the famed Mark XI made for the post-war RAF. However, a 41mm case in black ceramic and the textured black calfskin strap give this new edition a very modern feel. The black hands have been coated with luminescence to help them stand out against the dark blue dial (the dial colour of every IWC watch created for the Foundation); a black date window sits discreetly at 3 o?clock.
