DC Comics puritans always have a thing or two to say when it comes to Batman movies. This time, it was no different. However, a fair number of them would approve the Gotham City watch by Jacob & Co.

It comes with a large, 45.5mm case and is available in 18-karat Rose Gold and Black DLC Titanium. The variants are as different as Bruce Wayne and Batman, suave and strength, style and rigidity. The bat-shape logo finds itself on the dial, as the negative spaces from the cut-out portions aesthetically skeletonize the look. The most striking call-outs are the yellow highlights, along the edges of the cut dial, the strap, the crown, and the gorgeous case-back which will have comic fans swooning with a perfect illustration of the masked crusader. It was created for a 2003 episode by the legendary Jim Lee.
Only 36 pieces of each of the two variants will be available ? that?s 72 in all. What sets it apart from other themed pieces is that it brings with it one of the most complex movements. The Gotham City watch sports a visual treat of the twin, flying, sequential, triple-axis tourbillions. Each axis drives a separate cage ? ranging from a 24-second full turn to a 48-second full turn, and the third makes a full turn in 180 seconds. The hand-wound piece is powered by a Jacob & Co Calibre JCFM10 – proprietary movement and offers a 48-hour power reserve.
