Junghans introduces a new version of its popular Meister Chronoscope with a fir-green dial. The color is a tribute to the home of the German tradition brand which has been based in the small city of Schramberg in the Black Forest region for more than 160 years. Its former production site, the heritage-listed “Terrassenbau” (terrace building) with a step-like construction that delivered natural daylight to each and every watchmaker’s work station, was transformed into a museum in 2018 and invites its visitors on a journey into the rich horological history of the region.

It was in this building where Junghans started the production of watches with the distinction “Meister” in 1936. According to their name, they were of the highest quality. Revived in 2011 to celebrate the company’s 150th anniversary, it is a signature collection of Junghans today and offers many sought-after complications, both in a reduced elegant and more sporty design.
The new Meister Chronoscope is on the elegant side. The intense verdant colorway makes for an awesome backdrop for the characteristic slightly recessed counters as well as the weekday and date indication, which is displayed white on black at 3’clock. The chronograph hands are color coordinated with the beige leather strap.
