Laurent Ferrier delights with the Classic Micro-Rotor ? Salon des Horlogers Edition, a stainless steel timepiece with a case shape reminiscent of a pebble and an intriguing two-tone blue sector dial. Two years in the making and limited to just 25 pieces, this exclusive edition was created in collaboration with Salon des Horlogers, a Geneva-based retailer of contemporary independent watchmakers.
Inspired by Art Deco principles, the dial wows with harmoniously varied tones and textures through associating a deep blue grained center, a matt white coated chapter ring, a deep blue sunburst brushed outer ring, a blue opaline subsidiary seconds and a fine matt white transfer around the periphery.
The indication of the hours and minutes is performed by ?Assegai-shaped? hands while a matching baton-shaped hand tells the seconds.
As is de rigueur for the Geneva-based brand, the Classic Micro-Rotor ? Salon des Horlogers Edition is powered by a manufacture movement, offering some innovative details and a superlative finishing quality. Self-winding FBN 229.01 amasses a three-day power reserve and is equipped with a unidirectional pawl-fitted micro-rotor.
The exceptional finishing of the movement is performed in fine watchmaking traditions at the brand’s ateliers in Geneva.
