L?Epée 1839 partners with Label Noir studio to create a $35,000 limited edition version of the racecar-themed Time Fast D8 table clock

Storied Swiss watchmaker L?Epée 1839 has introduced yet another stunning table clock that will make classic car enthusiasts go weak in their knees. After releasing the robot-themed Balthazar table clock in collaboration with MB&F a few days back, L?Epée 1839 has followed it up with a new rendition of its Time Fast D8 clock. The latest iteration of the racecar-shaped table clock has been created in partnership with Label Noir studio.
The Time Fast D8 table clock was first launched in 2019. Penned by a design student named Georg Foster, the L?Epée clock is inspired by single-seater race cars from the pre-war era. The Time Fast D8 was initially launched in six different colorways designed to mimic racecar liveries. However, Label Noir studio has completely altered the look and feel of the table clock by giving it a stealthy matt black finish. A matte black ADLC (Amorphous Diamond-Like Carbon) coating covers the plates, alloys, and escapement system.
The length of the racecar-shaped table clock is slightly less than 15 inches. The in-house manually wound 1855 MHD movement is placed at the driver?s seat and it offers a power reserve of 8 days. The time can be set by rotating the steering wheel in the counterclockwise direction. The wind the barrel, the car has to be reversed, rotating the rear wheels.
