Live from Shanghai: Hands-On with the Bulgari Octo Grande Sonnerie Perpetual
Bulgari just unveiled its most complicated watch so far, the Octo Grande Sonnerie Perpetual Calendar, as well as a number of new additions to the Octo collection. WatchTime had the opportunity to spend some time with the models in person during today?s launch event at the Bulgari hotel in Shanghai.
The Bulgari Octo Grande Sonnerie
A Touch of Blue for the Finissimo
The first one, the 5.15 mm thick Finissimo Automatic (Ref. 102945), is now available with blue hands and hour-markers on the titanium dial.
Specs: Mechanical movement with platinum micro-rotor. BVL 138 caliber (2.23 mm thin). 40-mm, extra-thin sandblasted titanium case and bracelet. Crown set with ceramic inlay. Titanium dial. Price: $14,300.
The second new release in this collection, the 5.37 mm thick Octo Finissimo Skeleton (Ref. 102941) with a BVL 128SK caliber, features the same color theme with blue hands, small seconds, counters, power reserve, minute scale, and matching alligator leather strap. Both watches are water-resistant to 30 meters.
Specs: Manual winding and openworked BVL 128SK mechanical movement (2.35 mm thick). Featuring small seconds and a power reserve indication. 40-mm, extra-thin sandblasted titanium case (5.37 mm). Leather strap. Crown set with ceramic inlay. List price: $22,500.
