Longines HydroConquest Now Garbed in Green
Longines has in recent years added new and eye-catching colorways to its sportiest divers’ watch, the HydroConquest, most recently with last year’s all-black and all-grey models with ceramic bezels that matched their dials. Among this year’s new releases, which the brand previewed last week in New York, is the latest version of the HydroConquest sporting a military-look khaki-green dial and bezel.

Like its predecessors, this watch boasts a polished ceramic insert in its diving-influenced, unidirectional ratcheting bezel that matches the dark matte green of the dial for a handsome monochromatic look. Its round, brushed stainless steel case measures a substantial 43 mm in diameter (a 41-mm version is also available) and is water-resistant to 300 meters thanks to a screw-down crown and a solid, screw-down caseback. The dial, under a sapphire crystal coated on both sides with several layers of nonreflective coating, hosts the familiar HydroConquest elements: three big, legible Arabic numerals at 12, 9, and 6 o?clock; luminous coating on the indices and hands; and a discreet date window at 3 o?clock. The green ceramic bezel echoes the color of the dial.
