Maurice Lacroix Adds the Venturer Dive Watch to the Aikon Family
Over the past few years, Maurice Lacroix has significantly reduced the number of models in its lineup and, at the same time, successfully built up the Aikon as one of its core products. Just in time for summer, the Swiss brand is adding the Aikon Venturer to the collection, a mechanical sports watch with a unidirectional bezel (the inlay is made of ceramic, the overlaying tabs and the bezel are made of steel). It’s a descendant of the Maurice Lacroix Calypso, which also included a diver?s version at the time. The Calypso was one of the brand?s most popular models in the 1990s and provided some of the design codes that live on in the Aikon Venturer.

The Maurice Lacroix Aikon Venturer in blue The new, much more contemporary version is available with a blue or black sunray-brushed dial; the applied round and rectangular hour markers are coated with Super-LumiNova. The stainless-steel case measures 43 mm in diameter and is water resistant to 300 meters. Both versions are available with a matching rubber strap, attached to the case with an “EasyChange system,” which allows the wearer to quickly remove and change straps without requiring tools. The solid five-link brushed steel bracelet comes with a folding clasp, the rubber strap with a stainless-steel pin buckle.
